Etihad Airways was established in 2003 and is the national carrier of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.The airline operates scheduled flights to the Middle East, Europe, Indian subcontinent, North America, Far East, Africa, Central Asia and Oceania. In 2010, Etihad launched a nonstop service from Abu Dhabi to Erbil, becoming the first United Arab Emirates airline to operate to northern Iraq. The same year, Etihad won the title for "Best Environmental Initiative" at the "Best in Abu Dhabi" awards 2010.
