WestJet is a Canadian low fare carrier based in Calgary, Alberta that flies within Canada and to the United States, Mexico and the Caribbean. WestJet is the second largest Canadian carrier alongside Air Canada. In June 2010, WestJet announced to doubly increase its market share between the United States and Canada from 13% to more than 25% in the next six years, whilst the airline will continuously look for partnership so as to expand its growth among the US flyers. WestJet also plans to become one of the world's top five most profitable international airlines by 2016.
